- What types of customer success roles are available remotely?
- We often include roles such as customer success manager (or short, CSM), customer success associate, implementation specialist, onboarding specialist, and customer experience manager (or short, CXM) from top SaaS and tech companies.
- What skills are required for remote customer success positions?
- You will want to be a great proactive communicator, build strong relationships, solve problems on the fly, and feel comfortable using CRMs or Analytics tools. It also helps if you can easily explain to customers what your solution can do and what it cannot, and always ensure that the customer feels understood along the way.
- Is prior customer success experience required?
- It really depends on the role. If you are just starting out, you might get hired with a background in customer service or sales. For senior customer success manager roles, companies are usually looking for 3-5 years (or more) of hands-on experience in customer success.
