Head of AI Platforms & Deployment

• Join Moneybox, the award-winning UK wealth management platform, in a hybrid leadership role based in London. • Become the first hire in a newly created AI Platforms function, reporting to the Engineering Director. • Own both the AI platform strategy and a team of forward-deployed AI engineers solving real business problems. • Work hands-on from day one to help the business use AI safely with today’s tools. • Build a multi-year platform covering control and sandboxing, agentic workflow orchestration and knowledge capture. • Own the hosting and scaling of customer-facing AI models behind the Aurora financial guidance service. • Visit the London office by the Oxo Tower 2 days a week.

• Bring proven engineering leadership, including managing engineers and managers, running programmes and owning budgets. • Show experience owning an AI platform or enablement capability in a real organisation within the last 2–3 years. • Demonstrate company-wide AI tooling deployment, governance and cost management at scale. • Show experience building or significantly scaling a team. • Bring current, hands-on fluency with frontier model platforms, agentic tooling, MCP, evals, and prompt and context engineering. • Understand AI security and governance, including sandboxing, LLM and MCP gateways, DLP and guardrails. • Apply cost engineering skills across usage-based pricing, forecasting and optimisation. • Bring enough software and cloud architecture depth to work with .NET on Azure and Python for AI. • Evaluate and manage vendors in a fast-moving market. • Express platform investment in ROI and EBITDA terms to non-technical executives. • Be based in the UK and work from the London office 2 days a week.

• Bring experience in financial services or another regulated industry. • Show hands-on experience selecting or implementing LLM or MCP gateways, sandboxed agent hosting or agentic workflow platforms. • Bring experience serving customer-facing AI models in production alongside data science teams.

• Own the AI platform strategy, including risk management, supplier selection, business cases and benefits realisation. • Hire, line-manage and set priorities for a team of forward-deployed AI engineers. • Set and own the defensive AI strategy in collaboration with Tech Ops and the Principal Cloud Architect. • Own AI platforms and costs, including tooling, forecasting, optimisation and the staff access model. • Set internal AI safety standards covering sandboxing, policy, MCP governance, guardrails and monitoring. • Build a graduation ladder that takes AI tools from personal use to owned business systems. • Evolve existing Claude, Gemini and other LLM deployments into a coherent strategic platform. • Own hosting and scaling for AI workloads, including customer-facing models for Aurora. • Give departments clear guardrails and fast risk assessments so they can use AI safely today.
