Finance Director

• Join Zilch, one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs, in a senior hybrid role in London. • Report to the SVP of Finance and ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial information across the business. • Lead and connect Internal Reporting, External Reporting and Treasury. • Combine strategic oversight with hands-on ownership of complex technical, audit and cash management matters. • Lead finance preparation for major corporate transactions such as capital raises and acquisitions. • Shape the quality and clarity of financial information presented to ExCo and the Board.

• Hold a full Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA with ICAEW or equivalent, or ACCA). • Bring strong technical accounting knowledge, with IFRS essential. • Show significant post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership or controllership roles. • Bring strong experience across external reporting, audit and cash management in a regulated environment. • Demonstrate experience supporting or leading finance workstreams for corporate transactions such as M&A or fundraising. • Influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively at leadership and Board level. • Understand finance systems, data architecture and reporting pipelines, and work well with data and engineering teams. • Provide senior oversight and judgement across specialist finance functions without duplicating their delivery. • Operate comfortably in a fast-paced, scaling environment. • Work from the London office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

• Bring knowledge of US GAAP. • Show a background in fintech, financial services or regulated lending products. • Bring experience onboarding a new external auditor. • Show experience sponsoring ERP optimisation or finance transformation programmes.

• Act as a senior finance partner to ExCo, delivering accurate, fast and decision-ready financial information. • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex financial, technical and stakeholder matters. • Lead finance preparation and due diligence for capital raises, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. • Embed a culture of audit readiness and control discipline across Finance. • Review and challenge monthly management accounts, MI and Board reporting. • Act as senior lead for statutory accounts and the annual report. • Onboard the new external auditor and lead senior engagement with auditors and advisors. • Own internal technical accounting notes on complex areas such as IFRS 9 and IFRS 2. • Provide senior oversight of treasury, capital management, liquidity risk and funding discussions. • Maintain financial control frameworks and accounting policies aligned with FCA expectations. • Sponsor finance systems architecture, automation, ERP optimisation and month-end close improvements.
