Head of Talent

• Join VRChat as Head of Talent, working fully remotely from anywhere. • Own and evolve the entire hiring function, from strategy to execution. • Work as a senior individual contributor who both sets direction and runs searches day to day. • Advise leadership on org design, headcount planning and role scoping. • Personally run full-cycle searches, especially for strategic and hard-to-fill technical roles. • Help VRChat build a small, exceptionally strong team.

• Bring 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience. • Show experience building a recruiting function largely from scratch, ideally at a startup or scaling company. • Operate as both a strategic advisor to leadership and a hands-on individual contributor. • Bring a strong technical sourcing background, hiring engineers or other hard-to-fill technical roles. • Show experience building recruiting systems and effective onboarding handoffs. • Bring a track record of measurable improvements in time-to-hire, offer acceptance or similar. • Advise senior leaders on org design and headcount, and push back thoughtfully when needed. • Communicate and manage stakeholders well at every level.

• Bring experience recruiting for technical, consumer, social or platform-based products. • Show experience in lean environments covering workforce planning or People practices. • Bring experience hiring for trust and safety, content moderation or community roles. • Show interest in VR, online communities or VRChat as a user or creator. • Know how VRChat’s platform and community work.

• Own hiring strategy end to end, partnering with leaders on org design and headcount planning. • Run full-cycle recruiting personally, from outbound sourcing to offer close. • Keep searches moving with clear ownership, timely feedback and early resolution of bottlenecks. • Refine recruiting systems, ATS workflows and candidate experience. • Build competency-based interview loops and evidence-based debriefs. • Improve role scoping and assessment using new-hire ramp and quality-of-hire insights. • Build pipelines for niche technical and senior roles, including passive candidates. • Bring market intelligence to leadership to guide hiring decisions.
