Head of People

• Join VRChat as Head of People, working fully remotely from anywhere. • Lead a focused People function that helps VRChat build and sustain a small, exceptionally strong team. • Partner directly with the CEO, leaders and managers on performance, development and accountability. • Build on existing infrastructure in a hands-on leadership role alongside the recruiting lead. • Shape how VRChat attracts, develops and retains its talent. • Sustain an inclusive, remote-first culture across a global, diverse workforce.

• Show success leading a lean People function or broad People remit at a growing technology company. • Bring direct ownership of performance practices, manager coaching, employee relations and People operations. • Show a track record of building People programmes with measurable impact. • Bring experience guiding a People function through inflection points such as growth or organisational change. • Move fast and iterate, getting a first version to stakeholders quickly. • Show practical experience improving People workflows with automation or AI. • Communicate insights and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership. • Bring experience managing globally distributed, fully remote teams across multiple employment models.

• Bring a background in tech, gaming, social platforms or community-driven products. • Show experience at a company where the product is also a space the workforce uses. • Bring experience presenting People insights to a board. • Show a genuine track record of fostering belonging across a diverse, global workforce. • Bring time spent in VRChat or curiosity about social VR.

• Partner with senior leaders to strengthen alignment, decision-making and accountability. • Turn People priorities into deliverables with clear owners and milestones. • Lead and develop the People team. • Run a practical performance calibration and manager accountability process. • Coach managers through difficult feedback, employee relations issues and organisational change. • Use engagement, attrition and performance data to surface risks and capability gaps. • Lead levelling, compensation and equity practices with leadership and Finance. • Own onboarding and the employee lifecycle, partnering with the recruiting lead on workforce planning.
