Support Engineer

• Provide world-class developer support for anyone experiencing issues or seeking guidance when using Supabase. • Work within a globally distributed support team with a strong focus on minimising time to fix. • Collaborate closely with product engineering and growth teams to resolve issues and improve the developer experience.

• Bring 3+ years of experience providing developer support to technical customers. • Be proficient in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, and feel comfortable writing complex queries. • Communicate clearly with excellent fluency in English. • Be skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems and the command line. • Have experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions. • Be based in a Europe, Africa, or Middle Eastern timezone to cover EMEA hours (08:00–18:00 UTC). • Be available for 4 × 10-hour shifts covering Friday through Monday, permanently including weekends.

• Have database administration experience beyond querying. • Be familiar with popular JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Svelte, with some experience in Node.js. • Hold a degree in Computer Science. • Have experience reproducing bugs, creating test cases, and improving test coverage. • Bring experience identifying and developing internal tooling to improve support efficiency.

• Provide initial and timely responses to all support cases covering billing, pre-sales, optimisation, and implementation questions. • Triage support cases by directing users to previous answers, code examples, and documentation, or escalating to specific technical or business team members. • Monitor multiple feedback channels including GitHub Issues and Discussions. • Identify where internal tooling might be developed or obtained to improve support efficiency. • Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage.
