About the role

💼 What you will do

• Take proper ownership of the people function at an award-winning digital agency, with freedom to introduce new initiatives, evolve existing programmes, and shape the employee experience. • Create an environment where Reboot-ians can do their best work, with significant scope to grow towards a future Head of People role. • Work fully remotely with a four-day work week (Fridays off) and 83+ paid days off every year.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have worked in a People Manager, HR Manager, or similar role. • Have worked within a digital agency and understand agency life. • Bring experience building employee engagement and retention initiatives. • Be confident handling employee relations matters with a strong understanding of UK employment law. • Have experience designing and improving people processes across the employee lifecycle. • Communicate confidently with people at all levels of a business. • Be organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously. • Handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Have worked in a standalone people role. • Have worked within a remote-first organisation. • Have delivered leadership development or learning programmes. • Have contributed towards workplace or employer award submissions. • Hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience. • Be a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, wellbeing, belonging, and retention. • Own team socials, away days, recognition programmes, and employee experience initiatives. • Gather employee feedback and turn insights into meaningful action. • Own onboarding, probation, and performance review processes. • Support managers with performance conversations and development planning. • Evolve career pathways, progression frameworks, and role structures. • Coordinate manager training and leadership development initiatives. • Support workforce planning and hiring activities and continuously improve recruitment processes and candidate experience. • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and manage ER cases. • Maintain policies, documentation, and HR systems ensuring compliance with employment legislation. • Support workplace award submissions and employer brand activity.
