Senior User Research Manager, Core Banking

• Join Monzo’s Core Banking team as Senior User Research Manager, working remotely from anywhere in the UK. • Lead research across one of Monzo’s largest product areas, from current and joint accounts to budgeting and subscriptions. • Help shape a coherent research strategy for Personal Banking. • Influence company strategy and help define Monzo’s global research operating model. • Manage managers and support 6–8 direct and indirect reports. • Earn £110,000–£150,000 plus equity and performance-linked incentives.

• Show experience leading senior researchers or research managers in a complex product organisation. • Influence product strategy through research at organisational and executive level. • Bring disparate insights from multiple product areas into a coherent strategic narrative. • Navigate stakeholder environments with competing priorities, metrics and timelines. • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering and Data Science leaders on roadmaps and strategy. • Combine qualitative research with quantitative signals, product data and market insights. • Build alignment and land new ways of working across large organisations. • Coach research leaders while keeping a high quality bar. • Be based in the UK.

• Bring experience in fintech, banking or financial services research. • Show experience setting up research operations across international markets. • Bring experience with quantitative research methods and survey design. • Show experience researching subscription or money management products.

• Lead research across Core Banking and shape the wider Personal Banking research strategy. • Partner with the Core Banking Leadership Team, Product Directors and Design leaders. • Work with stakeholders across Wealth, Payments, Borrowing and Monzo’s European business. • Help define and land parts of Monzo’s global research operating model. • Connect insights across teams to find themes, opportunities and gaps. • Combine research, product data and market insight to inform strategic decisions. • Manage managers and support 6–8 direct and indirect reports. • Help researchers balance methodological rigour with speed.
