About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join Figma as a technically minded Product Designer on the Roundtripping team. • Shape how design, code and AI-powered workflows come together at Figma. • Improve how Figma understands production code and design systems. • Design workflows that move from design to code and back again. • Extend Figma’s agentic capabilities into developer tools and the places teams already work. • Work from the London hub or remotely anywhere in the UK.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 3+ years designing UX and UI for software products of similar scale and complexity. • Show strong visual craft across composition, typography, layout, interaction design and prototyping. • Drive end-to-end design independently, from discovery through launch. • Guide decisions with structured thinking, clear rationale and user research. • Bring experience designing technically complex products, ideally developer tools or extensible platforms. • Understand software development workflows, APIs and systems. • Attend in-person onboarding if hired.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience prototyping and evaluating AI-powered or nondeterministic interactions. • Know HTML, CSS and AI coding tools such as Codex, Cursor or Claude Code. • Use advanced Figma features such as Auto Layout, Variables and Components. • Build hands-on with web technologies, APIs, CLIs, MCP or model evals. • Bring experience with canvas-based interfaces or creative tools. • Show experience creating, maintaining or contributing to a design system.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Prototype new workflows that bring design and production code closer together. • Design AI-powered experiences that connect Figma with the tools teams use to build. • Contribute to product strategy and direction. • Tell clear stories about product needs and opportunities. • Work with product management, engineering, UX writing, data science and research. • Create flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals, and give thoughtful feedback to peers. • Design and ship features across Figma’s core product surfaces. • Take part in design critiques, mentor peers and share best practices.
