Operations Associate

• Join Marshmallow, the UK unicorn insurtech and lender, in a full-time hybrid role in its London Car Finance team. • Help bring fairly priced car finance to newcomers to the UK for the first time. • Build a simple, transparent and accessible lending experience from the ground up. • Combine hands-on operations, from customer queries and collections to underwriting, with a strong focus on automation. • Help design highly automated, AI-powered processes that move faster than traditional lenders. • Take real ownership in a small, high-performing team within one of Marshmallow’s most important growth areas.

• Bring experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment such as a fintech, startup or consultancy. • Apply strong analytical skills and use data confidently to make decisions. • Show experience using AI tools to drive developments and improve processes. • Get excited about startups and building AI-enabled operations rather than following existing processes. • Stay deeply interested in AI and use it fluently. • Work with high agency and operate comfortably in ambiguity. • Stay organised and pay close attention to detail. • Care genuinely about customers. • Commute to the London office 3 days a week.

• Bring hands-on experience with automation and AI tools such as Claude Cowork or Claude Code. • Know some of the team’s stack, including Linear, Google Suite, Notion, Intercom and Claude.

• Run the day-to-day operations of the car finance product, from customer queries to underwriting. • Keep the experience smooth and reliable for customers, dealers and brokers. • Identify and deliver process improvements that increase speed, reliability and cost-efficiency without lowering service standards. • Build automation and AI directly into operational workflows using best-in-class AI tools. • Work alongside the dedicated engineering and product team on automation projects.
