About the role

💼 What you will do

• Drive new business in target segments as a Sales Development Representative for Deputy. • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to execute a new outbound strategy. • Source and build pipeline for Account Executives across the SMB and Mid-Market segments. • Build relationships with leads in Deputy’s ideal customer profile using social selling, inbound and outbound email, calls, and text messaging. • Use whatever tactics work to book demos for the Account Executives. • Join the SMB sales team on a hybrid basis from a London office one minute’s walk from Farringdon Station. • Use AI tools and thinking day to day as Deputy becomes an AI-native company.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring at least one year of professional quota-carrying sales experience as an inbound SDR or in a similar role at a SaaS company. • Show a proven track record of achievement and a genuine desire to build a career in sales. • Work well in a collaborative environment as a team player. • Manage your time well and juggle multiple priorities at once. • Build relationships and communicate clearly, with excellent phone presence. • Bring passion and curiosity around technology, articulating value points to customers. • Stay naturally curious and dig for the why behind the why. • Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. • Work confidently in Salesforce and sales enablement tools such as Outreach, Sales Navigator, and Cognism.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Proactively source, engage, and qualify strategic prospects in target segments and industries to generate pipeline. • Create qualified opportunities for the sales team. • Engage potential clients across calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts, and live chat platforms. • Run your own qualification calls, deciding which prospects should move on to an Account Executive. • Listen attentively to customer requirements and articulate how Deputy meets those needs better than other solutions. • Take rigorous notes and keep CRM data clean so handoffs to AEs stay high quality. • Meet established quota targets consistently, contributing directly to revenue growth.
