Lead Payroll Implementation Consultant

• Manage the end-to-end delivery and implementation of complex payroll projects for Deputy’s largest enterprise customers. • Use your technical background to develop tailored solutions for enterprise accounts. • Own the delivery lifecycle for both new and existing implementations, building relationships that set customers up for success. • Support the team on local internal initiatives, with time set aside to innovate and own areas of process improvement. • Join the Delivery Services team of consultants, engineers, and architects delivering workforce management solutions to global brands in hospitality, retail, and healthcare. • Work on a hybrid basis from a London office one minute’s walk from Farringdon Station. • Use AI tools and thinking day to day as Deputy becomes an AI-native company.

• Bring 7+ years of professional experience in delivery, implementation, or project management. • Spend at least three of those years working specifically as a payroll implementation specialist. • Understand, define, and document deliverables including requirements specifications, gap analysis, use case scenarios, acceptance testing, process maps, and data flow diagrams. • Bring a strong understanding of implementation cycles for both internally and externally managed initiatives. • Establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines. • Relate to technical and non-technical project team members alike. • Bring experience with enterprise SaaS applications.

• Bring experience mentoring junior consultants on payroll implementation best practice and customer engagement. • Know the hospitality, retail, or healthcare sectors and how their workforces are paid. • Run technical workshops and discovery sessions with operational stakeholders. • Work alongside Solutions Architects on custom solution design. • Take a train-the-trainer approach to customer enablement. • Use AI tools responsibly and creatively to solve problems faster. • Bring diverse perspectives and experience to a team that actively values them.

• Act as a trusted advisor, offering best practices, thought leadership, and spotting opportunities throughout the payroll implementation process. • Mentor and support junior team members on payroll best practices, technical nuances, and customer engagement to build team capability. • Validate requirements uncovered during the sales process through technical workshops and sessions with operational stakeholders. • Define and communicate project plans with clear timelines and deliverables. • Collaborate with Solutions Architects to design custom solutions where customer requirements need them. • Engage CX Engineers and delivery partners to build and deliver custom work to the agreed timelines. • Interpret and map each customer’s business structure onto the Deputy platform, optimising for ease of use and performance. • Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders on status, risks, and overall project health. • Equip customers with training sessions and materials so they keep succeeding after go-live. • Document configuration, custom solutions, and key account stakeholders with Support and Success teams for a smooth handover.
