Business Development Representative, Pressable

• Join Pressable, Automattic’s managed WordPress hosting company, as a Business Development Representative. • Drive the early stages of the sales process by handling inbound leads and booking meetings. • Act as the first point of contact for many prospects, giving them a great first experience. • Use AI tools for prospect research, call preparation and follow-ups while keeping relationships human. • Report to the Head of Sales & Enablement and work closely with the senior sales team. • Work fully remotely from anywhere in the world.

• Communicate clearly and confidently in writing and speech. • Show a genuine passion for understanding customer needs and solving their challenges. • Work independently and manage multiple conversations and tasks at once. • Bring familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot. • Use AI tools for research, writing and summarisation in a professional setting. • Judge when to rely on AI outputs and when human judgement is needed. • Engage target accounts through outbound email, LinkedIn and phone outreach. • Adapt well to a fast-paced, evolving environment. • Shift hours occasionally, including weekends, to work with a global team.

• Bring 2–5 years of experience as a BDR, SDR or in a similar role. • Know WordPress and managed hosting services. • Show a track record of generating leads and setting up successful sales conversations.

• Respond to inbound inquiries and qualify prospects based on their needs. • Build interest in Pressable through discovery calls, emails and chats. • Book meetings for senior sales team members with qualified leads. • Educate prospects on Pressable’s features and benefits. • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date. • Hand off qualified leads smoothly to the senior sales team. • Identify expansion opportunities and support retention with existing customers. • Use AI tools and call transcripts to capture customer needs, objections and next steps. • Share AI-surfaced insights to improve sales playbooks and product feedback. • Hit monthly qualified meeting and pipeline generation targets.
