Senior Financial Accountant

• Join Zilch, one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs, in a newly created hybrid role in London. • Provide financial reporting support across the business as part of the Financial Reporting team. • Report to the Associate Director of Finance Projects and gain exposure to a wide variety of projects. • Work across technical accounting, statutory reporting, tax, finance transformation, treasury, securitisation and M&A. • Help build a strong control framework as Zilch works towards IPO readiness. • Grow in the role with full training and ongoing support.

• Hold a recent accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). • Bring audit experience and a background in financial services or fintech, ideally. • Build strong relationships across the business to help Finance meet its goals. • Explain complex topics simply and lead conversations with senior stakeholders. • Produce high-quality, well-presented work. • Read and interpret accounting standards, regulatory guidelines and legislation. • Take a hands-on, collaborative approach and stay organised across multiple projects. • Bring a friendly, positive mindset and a drive to grow with the company. • Work from the London office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

• Bring practical experience in areas such as business combinations, ECL modelling, EIR revenue recognition, IFRS 2 or hedge accounting. • Show exposure to M&A workstreams such as external due diligence. • Bring tax experience. • Show experience with SPV structures. • Use NetSuite confidently.

• Contribute to finance transformation projects and lead your own projects from planning to implementation. • Help prepare management accounts and financial statements, especially for complex accounting matters or new transactions. • Support corporate finance activity, including due diligence and transaction workstreams. • Assist the Internal Reporting team with general ledger system enhancements. • Strengthen controls and processes to withstand rigorous audit review ahead of IPO readiness. • Work with the Finance Data team to improve automation and build scalable processes. • Support tax structuring and planning with external advisors, and explain tax issues to non-finance colleagues. • Make sure tax submissions are accurate and on time alongside the External Reporting team. • Prepare and review technical accounting papers and supporting files. • Scan for changes in accounting and regulatory standards, and support training and implementation.
