🎯 Responsibilities
• Be a key driver of the team's technical roadmap and the broader product roadmap, partnering with the dedicated product manager and teams across Spend and Account.
• Build the systems that allow credit decisioning, tracking borrowed credit, accruing interest, repayment flows, and international credit card issuing.
• Hire, lead, coach, and mentor a talented group of engineers who can bring the credit vision to market.
• Help engineers grow, remove blockers, and enable execution at a velocity that balances time to market with the quality customers expect.
• Set clear planning, release milestones, and realistic commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding the team on architectural design, code reviews, and best practices.
• Ensure code quality, consistency, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.
• Participate in and drive product roadmapping and strategy sessions with product management.
• Work closely with other Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers, and Product to shape the team's and squad's technical roadmaps.
• Help the team navigate complex priorities and make trade-offs to deliver solutions that reduce risk and unlock growth.
• Act as a key representative of the team, collaborating with stakeholders across the company and leading projects from beginning to release.
