Interim Head of Solar and EV Installation

• Join So Energy, the customer-centric, tech-led UK energy supplier, in an interim hybrid leadership role at its Chiswick, London HQ. • Take end-to-end ownership of the Solar and Storage and EV Charger installation business lines. • Lead an established team of specialists across proposition, sales, delivery and aftercare. • Own the commercial P&L for the installation business. • Report to the Marketing Director and help the UK on its journey to net zero. • Visit the Chiswick office typically 2 days a week.

• Bring knowledge and experience of Solar and Storage and EV charger installation businesses. • Show relevant experience across lead generation, sales, operational delivery and commercial performance. • Bring experience managing people and building supplier relationships. • Manage stakeholders effectively at senior level. • Apply commercial awareness and analytical ability to choose the right levers to hit targets. • Understand the regulatory and compliance requirements for solar and EV charger installation. • Commute to the Chiswick office typically 2 days a week.

• Bring experience managing MCS accreditation or the Solar Consumer Code. • Show experience delivering industry schemes such as the Warm Home Discount. • Bring experience designing smart tariffs that support hardware cross-sell. • Show experience stepping into interim leadership roles.

• Oversee the Solar, Storage and EV Charger propositions, including hardware, installation, aftercare and finance options. • Work with Propositions, Trading and Technology to build smart tariffs that support cross-sell and customer lifetime value. • Own the P&L for Solar & Storage, EV charger installation and referral revenue. • Lead forecasting and target setting with the senior leadership team and Finance. • Improve unit economics and bring commercial discipline to growth versus cost trade-offs. • Oversee the full customer journey from lead generation and sales to delivery and aftercare. • Use data to find performance gaps and drive continuous improvement across the funnel. • Ensure high-quality delivery with strong customer satisfaction and low failure and complaint rates. • Maintain accountability for installation risk, compliance and accreditations such as MCS. • Build partnerships with hardware providers, OEMs and installers, and negotiate commercially beneficial terms. • Lead and coach managers, and own governance and performance reporting.
