Director of Fleet Operations Execution

• Own the health, performance, and on-road risk posture of Fleet Operations globally. • Lead a team of teams across the UK, US, Germany, and Japan through the regional Heads of Fleet Ops. • Be the authoritative voice on on-road decisions, holding the line on safety while balancing operational and commercial demands across a 300+ person global organisation. • Set and enforce the standards, KPIs, and performance metrics that keep operations consistent across every region. • Own incident response execution for high-severity events globally, bringing judgment and authority to complex on-road risk decisions. • Partner with Safety, Technical Operations, and other cross-functional teams to operationalise feature and milestone testing. • Surface risks and gaps relentlessly before they become problems. • Manage the tension between a single global standard and the real nuance of running multiple internal and external programmes and platforms at once. • Work from the London office in person the large majority of the time, with regular international travel.

• Bring extensive leadership experience managing global, multi-site teams of at least 100 people through a layer of leaders, having managed managers rather than only individual contributors. • Bring demonstrated experience operating in and leading through technical development cycles such as R&D, product development, and testing or validation, with enough fluency to hold your own with engineering partners. • Bring sound judgment and decisiveness in high-stakes, ambiguous, safety-critical situations, owning a decision and standing behind it. • Show a track record setting and enforcing performance standards, KPIs, and accountability across leaders you do not work alongside day to day. • Influence strongly across functions, partnering with Safety, Technical Operations, and others without formal authority over them. • Bring experience owning incident response and risk management for high-severity events. • Manage a mixed workforce of contractors and full-time employees across regions and time zones. • Be based in or willing to relocate to London, in person the large majority of the time, with regular international travel.
