About the role

💼 What you will do

• Lead and scale Vercel's Commercial sales team across EMEA, excluding DACH. • Take on a high-impact leadership role building the systems, culture, and talent needed to consistently hit and exceed revenue targets in the mid-market and growth segment. • Own one of Vercel's most important growth levers in EMEA end-to-end, where developer love and self-service momentum convert into contracted, expanding revenue with scaling tech companies and digital-native businesses. • Hire and develop a team of Commercial AEs, drive pipeline efficiency, and keep Vercel well-positioned to win in a competitive, fast-moving market. • Work closely with Marketing, SDR leadership, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to build a repeatable, scalable commercial sales engine across the region. • Be based in London, working from the office on anchor days Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have 3+ years of sales leadership experience in a SaaS or technical software environment, with a strong track record managing high-velocity commercial or mid-market teams. • Show proven ability to hire, ramp, and develop commercial AEs in a competitive market. • Understand commercial sales motions deeply, running a tight pipeline, coaching on qualification, and keeping deal velocity high without sacrificing quality. • Have sold into engineering, product, or technical leadership at scaling or growth-stage companies. • Run a team in a data-driven way, using metrics to identify coaching opportunities, forecast accurately, and iterate on process. • Lead hands-on, staying comfortable in deals, on calls, and in the weeds when the team needs it. • Be fluent in English. • Be based in London.

• Speak additional European languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Arabic, given the EMEA scope. • Be familiar with developer tooling, frontend infrastructure, or cloud platforms. • Be familiar with Vercel, Next.js, or the modern web development ecosystem. • Have built playbooks and onboarding frameworks that let a sales team ramp quickly.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Own the EMEA Commercial sales number across pipeline, forecasting, and revenue attainment in the mid-market and growth segment. • Hire, onboard, and develop a team of Commercial AEs, building a culture of high activity, sharp qualification, and consistent execution. • Drive a high-velocity sales motion with shorter cycles, strong outbound discipline, and efficient deal management. • Coach AEs on territory planning, prospecting strategies, and selling to technical and business stakeholders at scaling companies. • Partner with Marketing and SDR leadership to build and convert inbound and outbound pipeline across EMEA. • Develop and iterate on Commercial-specific messaging and positioning that resonates with engineering leaders and CTOs at growth-stage companies. • Forecast and report accurately on team activity and revenue to EMEA sales leadership. • Build scalable processes, playbooks, and onboarding frameworks that let the team ramp quickly and perform consistently. • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Legal to ensure smooth handoffs and strong retention in the commercial segment. • Identify expansion opportunities within the existing commercial customer base and coach AEs to grow accounts over time. • Represent Vercel at EMEA industry events, developer conferences, and customer-facing engagements.
