💼 What you will do

• Join Typeform in a fully remote role open to candidates in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, or the Netherlands. • Work as a mid-level Full Stack Engineer with a stronger backend focus. • Help evolve the internal systems and infrastructure that support Typeform’s product development ecosystem. • Build APIs, automation, release pipelines, and engineering infrastructure that improve how teams ship product experiences. • Join a team at the centre of Typeform’s product development, building shared foundations, tooling, and infrastructure. • Partner closely with engineers and designers to improve tooling, workflows, and developer experience across the company. • Contribute across the frontend when needed while focusing mainly on backend and platform work.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript in production environments. • Bring a good understanding of backend development principles and experience building APIs or internal services. • Bring familiarity with Node.js and modern web frameworks such as React or Next.js. • Work confidently with relational databases and understand database design fundamentals. • Understand testing practices and software quality principles. • Bring familiarity with CI/CD workflows and developer tooling. • Use Git and collaborative engineering workflows day to day. • Communicate clearly and work cross-functionally with designers and engineers. • Show a genuine interest in developer experience, platform engineering, or internal tooling. • Be based in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, or the Netherlands.

• Bring experience working in a product-led SaaS company. • Bring exposure to frontend infrastructure or shared platform tooling. • Bring familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling. • Bring experience contributing to monorepos or internal platform tooling. • Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and internal tooling used across product development teams. • Improve the infrastructure behind component distribution, asset management, documentation, and release workflows. • Support and evolve the engineering monorepo to improve scalability, maintainability, and developer experience. • Work with frontend engineers and designers to apply shared patterns and tooling consistently across products. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing, and deployment using tools like GitHub Actions. • Improve the reliability and performance of internal systems, including observability and monitoring workflows. • Help product teams adopt and integrate shared tooling and services. • Improve documentation and developer tooling to support discoverability and onboarding. • Migrate legacy code and tooling and enhance the documentation platform. • Improve automation, sandbox environments, and developer tooling. • Take part in architecture discussions and propose practical, scalable engineering solutions.
