Director of Accounting & Controlling

• Bring significant experience leading accounting and controlling functions in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment. • Bring experience managing and developing accounting teams in a fast-paced, international business. • Bring strong technical accounting expertise with deep knowledge of IFRS. • Show proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction accounting environments. • Bring a strong understanding of revenue recognition, particularly for subscription and usage-based models. • Bring experience overseeing indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. • Bring a strong understanding of financial controls, risk management, and audit processes. • Partner with executive stakeholders and influence cross-functional decisions. • Lead in a pragmatic, hands-on way, diving into the details when needed. • Communicate excellently and build trusted relationships across the business. • Bring a continuous improvement mindset with experience driving operational excellence and finance transformation. • Be based in the UK or one of the eligible European countries.

• Bring experience leading accounting in a global B2B SaaS company. • Bring experience with international expansion, entity setup, and cross-border compliance. • Bring strong knowledge of transfer pricing and international tax structures. • Bring a Big 4 background or equivalent public accounting experience. • Bring experience implementing or optimising ERP systems, ideally NetSuite. • Show a track record of leading finance transformation, automation, or systems implementation projects. • Bring experience preparing an organisation for rapid international growth, acquisitions, or IPO readiness.

• Lead the Accounting & Controlling function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant operations across entities and jurisdictions. • Help the VP of Accounting & Controlling define priorities, lead the team, and drive the finance roadmap. • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring high-quality reporting and strong balance sheet integrity. • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements in every jurisdiction. • Oversee revenue recognition policies and processes for subscription and usage-based models. • Lead indirect tax strategy and compliance, including VAT/GST and digital services taxes, with external advisors where needed. • Oversee transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, and cross-border financial operations. • Partner with Legal, FP&A, People, and advisors to support international expansion and entity creation. • Lead external audits and statutory reporting while building strong stakeholder relationships. • Drive finance transformation through process redesign, automation, ERP optimisation, and scalability improvements. • Build internal accounting capabilities and reduce reliance on external advisors where appropriate. • Act on behalf of the VP of Accounting & Controlling when required.
