Senior Product Designer

• Join Travel Mode, a startup-style team within Tripadvisor, helping find market fit for a new product geared toward travellers who are in-destination. • Co-own the end-to-end design process for native iOS and Android apps, from discovery and abstract problem-solving to high-fidelity final treatments. • Play a major role in defining the vision for the initial MVP in a team that moves quickly, embraces AI, and values learning over perfection.

• Bring 5+ years of experience shipping native mobile products with a deep understanding of platform-specific behaviours. • Hold a portfolio showcasing high-quality, production-ready mobile experiences with a passion for the last 5% of polish including transitions, feedback, and visual hierarchy. • Demonstrate a proven history of partnering with engineers to ship high-performance features with a solid grasp of technical constraints for native platforms. • Communicate impactfully with the ability to navigate ambiguity, explain the reasoning behind your work, and mentor the broader team. • Use research, data, and jobs-to-be-done frameworks to advocate for the user and remove friction from the journey. • Show deep familiarity with iOS and Android conventions, staying up to date with the latest trends and capabilities. • Demonstrate ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work.

• Bring experience working in a startup or startup-style environment with rapid experimentation and hypothesis-driven product development. • Have experience defining MVP vision and strategy alongside hands-on execution. • Show experience leveraging native mobile capabilities such as haptics, motion, and location services to create premium app experiences. • Demonstrate experience turning complex data, community contributions, and marketplace logistics into simple mobile solutions. • Hold experience with mobile-specific analytics to guide iterative design decisions. • Have experience working on travel, discovery, or in-destination product experiences.
