About the role

💼 What you will do

• Own the layer that decides whether Synthesia's largest accounts expand or stall: whether admins, legal teams, and programme owners can actually stay in control. • Take end-to-end ownership of workspace setup and governance, the content lifecycle, and the analytics and integrations that close the loop. • Design for deployments running thousands of creators across dozens of markets, languages, and compliance regimes. • Do the work that turns a proof of concept into a seven-figure renewal, in an area that is currently wide open. • Operate as a senior IC at Staff (L6) level: setting direction, influencing roadmap decisions rather than only contributing to them, shaping bets with Product and Engineering leaders, and raising the bar on how enterprise design problems get approached. • Work remotely from Europe or hybrid from the London office.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring significant experience designing complex, large-scale product surfaces, ideally admin dashboards, governance layers, analytics platforms, or other domains where system thinking matters. • Bring technical fluency: understand APIs, integrations, how services communicate, and how widgets and developer hubs work, and read a technical architecture doc to understand the constraints it creates for design. • Think in enterprise systems rather than only interaction flows, understanding how identity systems, compliance regimes, and scale constraints shape what is possible in the UX. • Think in mental models and multi-step workflows rather than single screens. • Operate comfortably in ambiguity, turning unclear and fast-moving problem spaces into crisp direction without waiting for perfect clarity. • Communicate excellently in design reviews and cross-functional decision-making. • Have designed workflows where trust, transparency, and user control are central, helping users feel confident in AI-driven outputs rather than confused or excluded. • Use feedback from users and customers to keep the product meeting real needs, including enterprise users with high stakes around quality, compliance, and scale.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Have designed permission models or role hierarchies that scale across thousands of users. • Have worked with enterprise identity infrastructure such as SSO, SCIM, or MCP. • Have designed audit log or compliance reporting experiences. • Have built licence and billing interfaces for enterprise admins.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Own the Enterprise surface end-to-end, from problem framing through shipped outcomes and iteration, reaching out to the right stakeholders and making decisions independently amid ambiguity. • Design complex governance and compliance systems that give admins, legal teams, and compliance officers genuine control and transparency. • Design permission models and role hierarchies that scale across thousands of creators without collapsing into chaos. • Design audit log experiences that make compliance auditable for the humans who need to understand what happened, not just for the system. • Design workspace setup and identity workflows that integrate with real enterprise infrastructure including SSO, SCIM, and MCP. • Design licence and billing models that admins can understand and manage at scale, alongside analytics and reporting that show whether a deployment is working as intended. • Work in partnership with engineering rather than in isolation from it, developing fluency in APIs, widget architectures, developer hub patterns, and how backend systems shape what is achievable in the UX. • Drive pragmatic iteration by scoping ruthlessly, building POCs to get signal early, and iterating on what enterprise customers reveal. • Set a design vision for the Enterprise surface and influence adjacent product areas to stay coherent as things scale across SSO, compliance, analytics, and billing.
