📋 Job Requirements
• Bring a track record of doing the individual TAM job well.
• Go deep on database internals, scalability, security posture and infrastructure trade-offs.
• Work a strategic account directly when needed.
• Show experience hiring, coaching and growing a technical team, with direct and specific feedback.
• Judge across 100+ accounts where coverage is thin and where accounts should change tier.
• Act as the senior voice in high-severity, multi-stakeholder incidents.
• Coordinate support, engineering and success without adding noise.
• Represent patterns across the whole book to engineering, product, sales and partnerships leadership.
• Brief an executive on portfolio health and coach a TAM through a root cause analysis in the same day.
• Rebalance coverage proactively toward the accounts most at risk.
• Bring a background in engineering, SRE or technical consulting, plus experience leading a technical customer-facing team.

🎯 Responsibilities
• Hire, onboard and coach TAMs so each operates as a credible, proactive technical partner.
• Run regular 1:1s and give direct feedback on account plans, QBRs and escalation handling.
• Build repeatable playbooks for upgrades, optimisation and escalations so quality does not depend on tenure.
• Own the coverage model across named and partner-mapped accounts, capped at 20 accounts per TAM.
• Run the quarterly review and rebalance books as ARR and strategic relationships shift.
• Resolve coverage gaps and approve leadership-discretion assignments and cap exceptions.
• Spot-check account documentation, architecture understanding and risk tracking across the book.
• Audit post-sale architecture validation and track early success milestones across the portfolio.
• Hold the team to a regular cadence of environment reviews covering scalability, reliability and security.
• Coordinate support, engineering and success during major incidents, and own the escalation SLA sequence.
• Make sure root cause analysis and preventative actions close out properly.
• Represent aggregated customer patterns to engineering and product, and partner with Sales and Success on retention.
