Product Designer

• Join Supabase, the Postgres development platform built by developers for developers, in a full-time fully remote role. • Craft user-focused solutions for an open-source database platform. • Work with Product Engineers, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers and fellow designers. • Take ideas from first concept through to completion. • Shape how developers experience Supabase at every touchpoint. • Lead, propose and execute projects across a range of products and tools.

• Prototype and show ideas rather than talking about them. • Collaborate with people who have different skill sets and points of view. • Build things outside work through side projects and personal experiments. • Move fast without sacrificing craft, and know when good enough is good enough. • Hold high standards for design quality and user experience. • Write code with AI assistance and design comfortably for a technical audience. • Balance user needs, technical constraints and business goals on complex challenges. • Conduct or apply user research and use data to validate design decisions.

• Bring experience designing developer tools or technical products. • Show experience working with design systems and reusable product primitives. • Bring experience simplifying complex workflows or onboarding flows. • Show experience working async in a globally distributed team.

• Align teams using working prototypes, user flows or high-fidelity mockups. • Anticipate potential pitfalls early and improve usability to resolve them. • Lead complex design challenges across the product. • Find alignment with product, engineering, success, sales and marketing stakeholders. • Gather user feedback and apply research to inform design decisions. • Keep the product ecosystem consistent and scalable as the surface grows. • Create product primitives that can be reused, extended and combined in different contexts.
