📋 Job Requirements
• Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Have a minimum of 5 years of UK and international accounting experience, with previous work history in a similar Manager role.
• Have strong experience of financial reporting and month-end close processes within a medium-sized, multi-currency organisation.
• Have strong balance sheet control, reconciliation, and financial governance experience.
• Have experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting processes.
• Have excellent advanced Excel skills with the ability to handle complex accounts and data sets.
• Have a good understanding of IFRS application.
• Have strong familiarity with accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance reporting within the UK and other EU countries.
• Have experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills.
• Have high attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

🎯 Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate with the wider Finance team to ensure month-end is closed strictly within agreed timelines and lead the consolidation of month-end accounts.
• Review management accounts and prepare and submit comprehensive analytical reviews to the Financial Controller, FP&A team, and CFO.
• Conduct weekly funding reviews and present formal payment recommendations to the CFO.
• Manage corporate payments and serve as the administrator for banking access.
• Oversee the review of payroll, VAT, and other critical external regulatory submissions across group companies.
• Own the technical accounting and inter-departmental coordination for all intangible assets and R&D tax claims.
• Proactively strengthen finance processes and internal controls to minimise risk and ensure data integrity.
• Drive enhancements to financial systems, automation, and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Maintain significant involvement in high-level corporate projects, including entity restructuring and system integrations.
• Directly manage, support, and mentor 2 direct reports.
