About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join Paddle, the Merchant of Record that removes payment fragmentation for digital product companies, in a full-time remote role. • Lead design for the Core Experience team, which owns the foundations every other product is built on. • Own sign-up, onboarding, the design system and the overall seller experience. • Design the connective tissue that makes Paddle feel like one coherent product. • Shape integration and AI experiences, and where AI genuinely improves the seller experience. • Work embedded in a cross-functional team alongside Product and Engineering.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring a strong portfolio with exceptional UI craft and end-to-end product design in complex domains. • Show proven experience owning and maintaining design systems, from components and documentation to governance and adoption. • Stay curious about adopting AI in both the design process and the products you build. • Assess critically where AI delivers real user value and turn that into usable experiences. • Work horizontally across many teams, aligning stakeholders without slowing them down. • Communicate design decisions clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels. • Own work from discovery through delivery with minimal oversight. • Understand implementation constraints, responsive design and accessibility. • Use Figma and tools such as Claude Code for UI design and prototyping. • Be based in the UK, Ireland or Portugal.

• Bring experience designing high-scale consumer-facing or B2B products. • Show experience in SaaS or fintech. • Bring experience designing onboarding journeys. • Show experience in foundational or platform design.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design of foundational seller experiences, from discovery through delivery and iteration. • Act as a horizontal partner to other product teams, creating guidelines, principles and reusable patterns. • Contribute to integration and AI experiences, shaping interaction patterns and surfaces. • Lead design thinking on information architecture, interaction patterns, accessibility and scalable components. • Partner with Product, Engineering and stakeholders to define problems and influence roadmaps. • Use research, data and customer feedback to validate decisions. • Set and uphold quality and craft standards across the product organisation. • Use storytelling to build alignment for cross-cutting work spanning many teams. • Mentor and support other designers through collaboration, feedback and critique.
