About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join Omnea as Frontend Engineering Lead, working hybrid from the London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. • Own the front end at Omnea, including the design system and front-end architecture. • Set the standard for how every product team builds interfaces. • Solve hard interface problems such as branching approval workflows, dense tables and adaptive intake forms. • Act as the connection between design intent and what actually ships. • Scale the front end as the engineering team doubles and revenue triples.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring deep experience building complex production React applications. • Understand rendering behaviour, state management and performance at scale. • Show experience owning front-end infrastructure, including rendering strategies, build tooling and bundle performance. • Bring experience building or owning a design system, including component APIs, adoption and migration. • Know CSS deeply, treating accessibility and motion as part of the craft. • Bring strong design taste and hold real conversations with designers. • Write general TypeScript fluently beyond the browser. • Level up the people around you through feedback and knowledge sharing. • Work from the London office three days a week.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience at design-led companies with a high bar for interface quality. • Show exceptional performance in academics, sport or work. • Bring open-source contributions or side projects built for the love of engineering. • Show experience with Next.js or visual regression testing tools such as Meticulous.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Own the design system outright, including components, patterns, tokens, documentation and adoption. • Partner with Design to turn intent into reusable, high-quality primitives. • Own front-end architecture, including deployment strategy, performance and build tooling. • Set the conventions every engineer follows when building interfaces. • Work with every engineering team on their most front-end-heavy projects. • Guide designers on what’s technically possible. • Help define the shape of this new role and level up the wider team.

About Omnea

📊 Omnea at a glance

🚀 Why Join - Our Take

Omnea is one of the most exciting B2B SaaS companies in Europe right now. In just three years since its founding, it has raised over $75 million from world-class investors, grown revenue 5x in the past year alone, and more than tripled its headcount to 160+ people across London and New York. The company is now the 4th fastest-growing startup in Europe and has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months. What stands out on Glassdoor (4.8/5 from 17 reviews, 100% recommend) is how consistently employees praise the talent density, the pace of learning, and the calibre of colleagues. People describe working alongside ex-founders, former operators from Google, Meta, TikTok, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and top startups like Tessian, Pigment, and Pleo. Omnea's careers page states they interviewed more than 10,000 people for their first 50 hires, and the hiring bar remains exceptionally high. The company works in person three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) in London and New York, which is not for everyone, but reflects their belief that early-stage collaboration benefits from face-to-face time. Equity is structured so every employee has a meaningful stake, and the Senior Software Engineer listing shows salary ranges of £80K–£120K with £25K–£50K in equity. The main thing to be aware of is that this is a genuinely fast-paced environment: multiple Glassdoor reviews note that this is not a 9-to-5, though they add that working alongside exceptional people on a mission that matters makes it worth it. If you want to be part of a category-defining company at one of the most exciting stages of its growth, surrounded by some of the strongest talent in European tech, Omnea is hard to beat.

😃 What Omnea offers

• Earn £140,000–£180,000 plus equity. • Get visa sponsorship if you need it. • Get competitive, geo-localised benefits through Omnea’s UK benefits package. • Join the Future Founder Promise and Omnea Future Founder’s fund. • Use Claude Code and agentic workflows as part of AI-native development. • Work in person three days a week to build alongside the team.

💖 What makes Omnea unique

Omnea is backed by $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners and Accel and was named the UK’s number one startup in the Startups 100.
