• Proactively identify and interpret the rules, regulations, and guidance applicable to the Regulatory Reporting team, keeping return production compliant.
• Develop, implement, document, and maintain the processes and controls that uphold Monzo's interpretations.
• Make sure the processes and controls behind returns are compliant, so reporting stays accurate, complete, and timely.
• Work with engineers and data scientists to source the correct data efficiently, accurately, and consistently across the reporting suite.
• Work with Treasury, Risk, Data, and project teams to navigate and agree on complex or ambiguous regulations, reaching the safest outcome for Monzo.
• Facilitate robust governance over how regulations are identified, interpreted, and implemented in reporting outputs.
• Review all capital, liquidity, and financial regulatory returns for compliance.
• Play a key role in automating regulatory reporting, covering implementation, user acceptance testing, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain the governance and control framework regulators expect for regulatory reporting.
