Regulatory Reporting Manager

• Help inspire and develop Monzo's Regulatory Reporting team, reporting into the Regulatory Reporting Policy Team Senior Manager. • Ensure horizon scanning and interpretation activities across the PRA Rulebook and EU CRR are correctly reflected in capital, liquidity, and financial returns. • Monitor ongoing adherence to applicable UK and European prudential rules. • Identify and define changes required to data and production quickly and safely. • Manage a high-energy, dynamic workstream that fosters open, collaborative, inclusive working and inspires continuous learning. • Contribute to ambitious expansion plans, keeping the Regulatory Reporting team an enabler for the rest of Monzo. • Work from London, Cardiff, or distributed within the UK, with ad hoc meetings in London.

• Bring experience understanding and operationalising a wide range of regulatory requirements and the associated reporting. • Have worked on large-scale implementation and testing of automated reporting solutions. • Identify areas for improvement, propose dynamic solutions, and implement changes quickly and safely. • Plan, organise, and manage time excellently, and manage people on that basis. • Demonstrate a proven track record of team leadership and coaching, providing empathy and guidance. • Get excited about leveraging technology to automate reporting and capital management, with a track record of continuous process improvement. • Bring a great eye for detail and be numerically astute. • Stay self-motivated and hands-on, taking satisfaction in supporting colleagues, projects, and tasks however big or small.

• Bring direct experience with the PRA Rulebook and EU CRR specifically. • Have worked alongside engineers and data scientists on data sourcing for reporting. • Have built governance and control frameworks that satisfied regulators. • Have supported a firm through international expansion into new regulatory regimes. • Use a preferred name to apply, as Monzo does not need full or birth names at application stage.

• Proactively identify and interpret the rules, regulations, and guidance applicable to the Regulatory Reporting team, keeping return production compliant. • Develop, implement, document, and maintain the processes and controls that uphold Monzo's interpretations. • Make sure the processes and controls behind returns are compliant, so reporting stays accurate, complete, and timely. • Work with engineers and data scientists to source the correct data efficiently, accurately, and consistently across the reporting suite. • Work with Treasury, Risk, Data, and project teams to navigate and agree on complex or ambiguous regulations, reaching the safest outcome for Monzo. • Facilitate robust governance over how regulations are identified, interpreted, and implemented in reporting outputs. • Review all capital, liquidity, and financial regulatory returns for compliance. • Play a key role in automating regulatory reporting, covering implementation, user acceptance testing, and maintenance. • Develop and maintain the governance and control framework regulators expect for regulatory reporting.
