Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, Strategic Accounts — EMEA

Posted on 26 August 2026

About the role

💼 What you will do

• Help Europe’s largest enterprises navigate the reality that trust, reliability, and observability separate an agent pilot from a production platform. • Own the technical win across strategic EMEA enterprise accounts, working alongside Account Executives on commercial strategy. • Sell into the agentic stack, where customers are deploying agents on Databricks, Snowflake, and their own platforms. • Show customers how to observe, trust, and improve those systems, from the pipelines feeding agents through to the outputs they produce. • Join a lean EMEA team covering high-value accounts, reporting into Sales and Field Engineering. • Work from London on a hybrid basis.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 3+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or strategic technical account management within B2B AI-first companies and SaaS organisations, with meaningful enterprise account experience. • Bring hands-on experience of enterprise AI and agent deployments, or close work with the teams that run them. • Understand the architecture, failure modes, and operational reality of getting an agent from demo to production. • Use AI observability concepts as working vocabulary, including traces, spans, evaluations, and instrumentation. • Navigate procurement, infosec reviews, and multi-stakeholder buying committees. • Whiteboard an agent architecture and discuss ROI and competitive positioning with a VP of Data and AI in the same day. • Work self-directed, prioritising your own time and knowing when to escalate and when to push back. • Communicate credibly with platform engineers and effectively with executives.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience with OpenTelemetry, which is highly prized here. • Know Databricks Genie, Snowflake Cortex, or similar enterprise AI platforms. • Work across the modern data stack including Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, and BigQuery. • Bring data observability or data quality experience. • Grow existing enterprise accounts through expansion, upsell, or land-and-expand motions. • Apply MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar qualification and value frameworks. • Sell into European enterprises across multiple countries and regulatory environments.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Run technical sales cycles end to end, covering discovery, solution design, demos, POV execution, and technical close. • Design proofs of value with agreed success criteria, manage the evaluation, and deliver results that remove technical objections. • Identify and develop technical champions who will carry Monte Carlo into the next budget cycle, platform decision, or executive review. • Run briefings, workshops, and architecture reviews that position the platform as infrastructure rather than a tool. • Understand each customer’s data and AI architecture deeply, including where agents run, how they are instrumented, and where reliability breaks down. • Bring that technical point of view into every account plan and QBR. • Convert the POVs you run, scoping and technically closing every opportunity in your pipeline. • Set the trajectory for revenue growth, as closed commitments should translate into growing consumption over time.
