Senior Data Science Manager, Pricing

• Bring experience as a data scientist or data science manager in a risk-focused domain such as pricing, credit decisioning or fraud. • Show experience working in commercially driven environments where performance metrics guide decisions. • Form clear, commercially grounded views from technical analysis and present them to senior stakeholders. • Make sound decisions when data is incomplete, sparse or uncertain. • Connect pricing decisions to financial outcomes and wider market conditions. • Dig into why key metrics move, challenge assumptions and tell a clear story behind performance trends. • Collaborate easily with adjacent teams such as claims, finance and reserving. • Explain complex ideas in a concise, business-focused way. • Commute to the London office 3 days a week.

• Bring experience in insurance pricing, particularly motor insurance. • Show experience working closely with reserving or actuarial teams. • Bring experience evolving a team’s operating model or deployment across workstreams. • Show experience presenting pricing performance to external stakeholders.

• Own the loss ratio view across the portfolio and recommend commercial actions. • Factor internal drivers and wider market and economic conditions into pricing recommendations. • Lead conversations with internal and external stakeholders on pricing performance and risk trends. • Translate analytical outputs into clear pricing and portfolio insights for non-technical audiences. • Manage and develop a small group of pricing data scientists while raising the quality of their work. • Drive cross-functional investigations into claims and risk signals. • Shape how pricing data scientists are deployed across workstreams as the operating model evolves.
