Machine Learning Scientist – Mid-Level

• Bring a strong background in machine learning and statistics. • Know how to design and analyse AB tests. • Apply a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms. • Use Python for numerical and statistical programming with NumPy, Pandas and scikit-learn. • Interpret and write complex SQL queries. • Bring experience with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark. • Show a track record of leading the deployment and maintenance of models. • Bring hands-on experience with AI-powered tools and genuine enthusiasm for growing those skills. • Communicate well with both technical and non-technical partners. • Work independently and curiously, delivering on time and to specification.

• Hold a PhD or master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field. • Bring 2+ years of practical experience alongside a master’s degree. • Show experience applying machine learning in marketing channels such as paid, organic, search, affiliates or CRM. • Bring experience automating ETL pipelines. • Show experience working in travel, marketplaces or ecommerce.

• Use machine learning models to solve core business problems across marketing. • Find new opportunities to apply data science across paid, organic, search, demand creation, affiliate and CRM channels. • Automate ETL pipelines. • Prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain new ML models in production. • Design AB tests and analyse their results. • Discover new ways to analyse and interpret the data. • Communicate progress and experimental results to technical and business stakeholders.
