About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join UW (Utility Warehouse), the UK provider that bundles energy, broadband, mobile and insurance into one bill, in a hybrid role in London. • Join the Energy team as a commercially minded analyst whose models shape multi-million-pound decisions. • Own the models behind UW’s energy metering strategy and major commercial commitments. • Lead Smart Demand planning to keep thousands of smart meter installations on track this year. • Get dedicated mentorship from a Senior Commercial Analyst, including SQL and Python coaching. • Present directly to the Energy Director and work alongside Commercial Managers. • Visit the Farringdon office 2 days a week.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 2–3 years of commercial or analytical experience. • Hold a STEM or numerical degree, or bring proven experience in business analytics, commercial finance or supply chain. • Wrangle messy, multi-layered data in Excel, from complex logic to sensitivity tables. • Connect your analysis to commercial P&L drivers and margins. • Investigate anomalies, trends and inefficiencies, and propose practical solutions. • Translate complicated operational scenarios into clear, actionable insight. • Bring strong numerical intuition and an appetite to expand your technical toolkit. • Commute to the Farringdon office 2 days a week.

• Bring prior experience in the energy sector. • Show working knowledge of SQL or Python. • Bring experience building scenario and sensitivity forecasting models. • Show experience working with external suppliers or delivery partners.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Ingest and calibrate complex data streams for Smart Demand planning, balancing customer demand against installer capacity. • Keep UW on course to install thousands of smart meters this year. • Model and forecast the growing metering portfolio. • Build scenario and sensitivity frameworks that capture margin and protect against commercial risk. • Evaluate commercial trade-offs across key supplier relationships. • Provide the evidence base senior leaders use to negotiate and make strategic calls. • Turn ad-hoc requests into regular, high-visibility insights that shape the energy roadmap. • Work closely with external partners such as the primary metering provider.
