Claims Fraud Team Lead

• Join Marshmallow, the UK unicorn insurtech and lender, in a full-time hybrid role in its Third Party Claims team. • Lead the Claims Fraud team that defends Marshmallow against fraudulent activity. • Help keep premiums affordable and accessible for every customer by stopping fraudulent claims. • Manage a team of Claims Fraud Investigators and Intel Analysts. • Own the team’s KPIs and investigation strategy. • Enjoy a highly flexible setup, with the team meeting in the London office just once every two weeks.

• Bring experience leading a team, including driving and managing performance. • Show experience working in motor claims fraud. • Use data, insight and evidence to make confident decisions and set priorities. • Build capability in others through clear, actionable feedback. • Handle difficult conversations with confidence. • Anticipate future risks and opportunities, and solve problems without needing close guidance. • Propose and drive bold, practical changes to processes and strategy. • Lead with low ego by giving credit and grounding decisions in insight rather than bias. • Move work forward quickly with a high sense of urgency. • Visit the London office once every two weeks.

• Bring experience in Fraud Intelligence. • Show experience investigating organised motor fraud rings. • Bring experience working with Product Owners on fraud detection tools or process improvements. • Show experience running quality assurance frameworks for investigation teams.

• Lead, coach and manage the performance of Claims Fraud Investigators and Intel Analysts. • Act as the final escalation point for the most complex, high-value and organised fraud investigations. • Own the Claims Fraud KPIs and set and evolve the investigation strategy. • Run quality assurance across the team to improve consistency and decision-making. • Own recruitment, onboarding and development planning for the team. • Represent Claims Fraud as a subject matter expert across the business. • Keep the team compliant with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, vulnerable customer handling and GDPR. • Partner with other teams to improve the detection of potentially fraudulent claims. • Work with Product Owners on process and technology changes that cut investigation time and improve the customer experience.
