Solutions Engineer, Europe

• Be the technical guide across the customer lifecycle at Linear, the product development system used by 30,000+ companies including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp. • Partner most closely with Sales to drive revenue by leading technical discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution design for prospects and existing customers. • Join a team building the tools for a new era where AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built. • This role is anchored to the London hub in Shoreditch, with 3 days per week in the office (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays).

• Have 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, with experience supporting enterprise-scale deals. • Have strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrations. • Have excellent communication skills, able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives. • Have experience with GitHub and git. • Have proven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issues. • Have a collaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams. • Be comfortable with SQL and scripting such as Python or JavaScript.

• Have a CS degree or engineering background. • Have experience with Linear and/or Jira specifically. • Have experience designing and executing data migrations and implementation plans. • Have experience codifying technical playbooks and enablement materials for sales teams. • Have experience with enterprise security and architecture reviews.

• Act as the customer's technical adviser across the lifecycle, partnering with Sales and Customer Success to ensure continuity from evaluation through onboarding and expansion. • Lead technical discovery and architecture for strategic prospects and existing customers, translating customer workflows into Linear configuration, data model, permissions, and integration patterns. • Run pre-sales technical evaluations end-to-end: deliver tailored deep-dive demos, proof-of-concepts, security and architecture reviews, and integration workshops. • Design and execute migrations and implementation plans that set customers up for long-term success, with clear handoffs to post-sale teams. • Build and maintain realistic, scalable demo environments and reference configurations that mirror enterprise workflows. • Codify lifecycle playbooks and enablement: create technical training for sales and post-sale teams, curate exemplars, and continuously improve the technical sales motion.
