Lead UI Artist

• Lead the UI team at Hutch, owning and delivering visually impressive free-to-play mobile gaming experiences played by over 300 million people. • Define how players interact with Hutch's games by creating sleek, clean, and stylish user interfaces in partnership with UX, Art Direction, and Design. • Join a four-day work week company where you work Monday to Thursday at full pay with no reduction in salary.

• Bring proven UI Art leadership experience within the games industry on multiple titles, particularly on a live product. • Show high-quality visual art and design pieces within your portfolio with proven visual design skills. • Have experience creating, maintaining, and evolving a design system for a digital product. • Demonstrate experience of the design workflow from concept level through wireframes to functioning prototypes. • Show a practical understanding of UX and communication design conventions and how they affect player behaviour. • Hold Unity experience with the ability to implement assets and aid technical improvements. • Demonstrate excellent proven skills with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud software. • Have a strong understanding of AI tools and AI-generated imagery. • Bring experience working with third-party IP brand holders and licensing teams.

• Hold experience in VFX, 2D animation, and motion graphics. • Bring experience with 3D art software such as 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or Substance. • Have experience with rebranding, working with and evolving existing IPs. • Show experience creating ASO, UA, social, and marketing assets. • Bring technical art skills. • Have experience with version control, with Unity VCS or Plastic as a bonus.

• Head up, lead, and be the focal point of the UI team, partnering with Art Direction, UX, Design, and Product to prepare excellent UI designs. • Create and maintain style and brand guides, asset language and naming, and project structures within Figma and Unity, adhering to IP licensing requirements. • Create high-quality UI artwork and associated source assets to match the visual style of the games. • Ensure visual consistency and quality is maintained throughout the project and maintain a design system in partnership with the team. • Support and mentor the team, identify training needs, and guide career progression and creative improvements. • Work with client engineers to implement performant, well-functioning, and bug-free UI within Unity. • Lead team presentations and meetings and attend regular design meetings. • Plan, cost, and schedule work alongside production, balancing scope against milestones and delivery. • Proactively drive and advance project-level UI design decisions in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
