About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join Anthropic’s Forward Deployed Engineering team as a Technical Deployment Lead in London. • Lead the delivery of custom agentic AI solutions for enterprise customers. • Own high-value engagements from signed SOW through to production deployment. • Drive the delivery plan, product scoping and stakeholder relationships while FDEs build the solution. • Help create the playbooks and delivery patterns for a brand-new function. • Earn £165,000–£230,000, working from the London office at least 25% of the time.

📋 Job Requirements

• Show experience leading AI or ML engagements, whether as a founder, engineer, data scientist, researcher or consultant. • Bring experience delivering AI, ML or LLM-based agentic solutions into production. • Hold your own in architecture discussions and pressure-test technical trade-offs. • Show a track record of delivering complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients. • Take initiative without a mandate and make decisions with incomplete information. • Bring executive presence and represent Anthropic credibly to senior leaders. • Bring structure to ambiguous situations with a builder’s mindset. • Travel to customer sites 25–50% of the time. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education, training and experience.

• Bring experience in a specialised vertical such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, retail, mining or agriculture. • Show experience delivering across multiple workstreams in regulated industries. • Bring experience navigating enterprise security reviews, procurement and compliance. • Show experience defining ROI and KPIs for AI deployments.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Turn each signed SOW into a sequenced roadmap with milestones, dependencies and success criteria. • Lead delivery discovery by mapping customer workflows and pressure-testing the scoped MVP. • Shape the solution architecture alongside FDEs. • Drive day-to-day execution across Anthropic and customer teams, protecting the critical path. • Author requirements and prioritise the engineering backlog. • Lead executive briefings and manage stakeholder communications. • Define impact hypotheses, KPIs and baselines, and report ROI to executive sponsors. • Navigate security reviews, legal approvals, procurement and compliance. • Manage scope changes, contract modifications and risk escalation. • Capture reusable delivery patterns and feed field insights to Product and Research.
