iOS Engineer

• Join Zopa, the mobile-first UK bank that built the world’s first peer-to-peer lending company, in a permanent hybrid role in London. • Join the Mobile Platform team, which owns the shared foundations of Zopa’s iOS app. • Help make the newly fully native iOS platform fast, reliable, accessible and easy for engineers to build on. • Work on architecture, shared modules, the design system, observability, developer tooling and CI/CD. • Create great developer experiences so product teams can focus on customer problems. • Contribute to a strong iOS engineering community by shaping standards and sharing knowledge.

• Bring experience building and shipping polished production apps using Swift. • Show a solid understanding of iOS frameworks and native mobile development principles. • Bring experience working on modern, high-engagement apps. • Care about creating fast, intuitive experiences for customers. • Write maintainable code and value strong engineering practices. • Take pride in improving reliability, testing and overall app quality. • Stay curious and collaborative, and enjoy building products that matter to customers. • Commute to the London office 2–3 days a week.

• Bring experience applying mobile security best practices. • Show experience collaborating with Android engineers using Kotlin or with React Native engineers. • Bring experience with mobile platform work such as design systems, developer tooling or CI/CD.

• Report to the Engineering Manager and work alongside iOS engineers building the foundations of the mobile experience. • Collaborate with the wider mobile community, including React Native engineers, on best practice and native development decisions. • Make the app faster and more reliable by identifying bottlenecks, resolving bugs and improving performance. • Build and evolve customer-facing features that make the most of native iOS capabilities. • Partner with Product, Design and Backend teams from early idea through to high-quality release.
