Senior Analytics Engineer

• Join Zilch, one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs, in a hybrid role in its London Finance Data team. • Work at the boundary of data engineering and finance analytics in a technically deep role. • Build robust data models and pipelines that finance teams can rely on. • Turn complex financial logic into clean, well-documented SQL and data models. • Own data quality, reconciliation and metric governance across critical finance data. • Shape how the business understands its finances through your technical contributions.

• Bring 3–5+ years in a data analyst, analytics engineer or finance data role, ideally in financial services or fintech. • Write advanced SQL fluently, including complex queries, window functions and performance tuning. • Understand warehouse-specific behaviour in tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift. • Show hands-on experience building data models in dbt or a comparable transformation framework. • Bring experience building data quality checks, reconciliation logic and monitoring in production. • Build with correctness in mind, knowing finance data has to be right. • Stay curious about what the numbers mean and pick up finance context as you go. • Take ownership and fix pipeline problems without waiting to be asked. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and explain data concepts to non-technical audiences. • Work from the London office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

• Understand financial reporting concepts well enough to implement finance logic and challenge requirements. • Bring experience with dimensional modelling. • Use data orchestration tools such as Airflow. • Write Python or another scripting language for data manipulation and automation. • Show a background in consumer lending, payments or embedded finance. • Bring experience working in analytics engineering or a hybrid analyst and engineer role.

• Design, build and maintain data models and transformation pipelines in dbt or equivalent tooling. • Translate complex financial logic into clean, well-documented SQL for reporting and decision-making. • Implement data quality checks, reconciliation logic and monitoring across critical finance pipelines. • Resolve data issues before they reach downstream users. • Define and govern core finance KPIs to create a single source of truth. • Work with Finance, Analytics Engineering and Product to embed finance data requirements from the start. • Automate manual finance data processes to improve reliability and reduce operational burden.
