Senior Product Analyst - FinCrime

• Partner with Wise’s financial crime product teams to drive data-driven growth decisions while helping combat financial crime. • Strike the balance Wise cares about between user experience and the stringent demands of risk prevention. • Join the Screening team, which builds the control framework that screens customers, counterparties, and transactions across all Wise products. • Support systems that prevent the onboarding of sanctioned individuals and entities, identify politically exposed persons, and detect adverse media risk. • Keep the customer experience as invisible and frictionless as possible while making sure controls actually work. • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and operational teams to turn insight into real change for customers. • Join a wider analytics community of more than 100 analysts, with cross-team projects and room to shape how analytics works across Wise. • Work from London on a hybrid basis at IC2 level on the Analytics Career Map.

• Bring a minimum of three years analysing data in a professional setting. • Bring strong quantitative skills, ideally from a background in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, analytics, computing, or another scientific field. • Work confidently with SQL and Python or R, and build data pipelines. • Use data visualisation tools such as Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau, telling confident stories with data. • Translate business insight into persuasive analytical narratives that are simple to understand. • Structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise them independently. • Condense complex systems and ideas into simple models. • Take work beyond the analysis and get things done with a hustler mentality. • Hold the right to work in the UK, as Wise does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

• Bring experience with dbt, which is specifically called out as ideal. • Know the financial crime, sanctions screening, or risk prevention space. • Bring experience of building self-serve analytics that let stakeholders answer their own questions. • Enjoy collaborating on cross-team projects within a large analytics community. • Care about the Money Without Borders mission that sits behind the work.

• Expose the organisation’s data in a meaningful, actionable way so people can access it without friction or analyst assistance. • Contribute to, own, create, and track key metrics and results, holding the organisation accountable throughout the quarter. • Support your team by conducting research, building and maintaining data pipelines, preparing reports, and creating visualisations. • Drive discovery analyses by scoping new opportunities and suggesting initiatives that improve the controls framework and customer experience. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and communicate insight in a way that turns into real change for customers.
