Lead Product Analyst - FinCrime

• Help build the next generation of systems that run multi-region, scalable processes to confirm customers are who they say they are. • Make sure those processes minimise the chance of financial crime appearing anywhere across the customer lifecycle. • Embed in one of Wise’s product teams, partnering with Product, Engineering, Ops, and Compliance. • Improve control effectiveness, customer experience, and operational efficiency together. • Work on the fincrime analytics three body problem of risk, friction, and cost, where nearly every risk-based decision balances the risk of onboarding criminals against user friction and operational cost. • Build sustainable long-term foundations rather than short-term growth hacking. • Work from London on a hybrid basis, three days a week in the office, at Lead level on the Analytics Career Map.

• Design scalable data models spanning the backend through to data infrastructure. • Bring strong SQL with experience building robust pipelines. • Work proficiently with BI tools and design decision-ready dashboards. • Frame trade-offs between risk, conversion, and operational cost as a clear communicator. • Use Python for deeper analysis and automation. • Translate questions from CDD Ops, KYC Controls, Product, and Engineering into clear analytical plans.

• Bring familiarity with risk management frameworks. • Bring exposure to financial crime concepts such as fraud and money laundering. • Bring experience working in a platform-oriented team. • Embody a data-as-a-product mentality when working with engineers. • Enjoy building self-serve data assets that let stakeholders answer their own questions.

• Size opportunities, model impact on volume, cost, and risk, and evaluate control changes and operational experiments. • Quantify why documents are rejected and how effective recovery prompts are. • Help design scalable platforms built as long-lasting foundations. • Work with engineers to build well-instrumented systems that show end-to-end performance. • Define and maintain source-of-truth datasets and dashboards for onboarding funnels, manual reviews, document processing, and operational performance. • Build self-serve data assets and documentation so stakeholders can answer common questions independently. • Communicate insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to partners across the business. • Shape what comes next for product outcomes.
