About the role

💼 What you will do

• Become Wayve’s first Head of Marketing, defining and leading the global marketing strategy for its AI Driver technology. • Turn company and commercial objectives into a clear market position, compelling product narratives, and integrated programmes. • Build trust in the technology and support adoption by automotive, technology, and mobility partners. • Report to the VP of Marketing Communications while leading product marketing, brand strategy, partner co-marketing, digital marketing, the website, content, events, and conferences. • Manage an initial team of roughly four across product marketing, digital, marketing operations, design, and web. • Work closely with the Head of Communications and leaders across Product, Commercial, Policy, and Partnerships. • Stay hands-on, personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs, and improving strategy in a fast-moving environment. • Work hybrid from the London office, combining time in offices and workshops with working from home.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring senior marketing leadership experience in a complex, trust-sensitive category such as autonomous technology, enterprise technology, AI, platform businesses, or fintech. • Bring strong product-marketing and narrative-strategy capability, with evidence of translating highly technical products for commercial partners and consumers. • Show demonstrated experience building a category and brand across integrated channels, ideally on constrained budgets. • Bring a record of successful partner co-marketing with major global organisations while protecting a clear standalone brand position. • Bring strong digital, website, content, and integrated-campaign capability backed by meaningful measurement. • Think commercially, connecting customer needs, routes to market, and partnerships to adoption and business growth. • Lead hands-on in a scale-up: set strategy, manage senior stakeholders, coach a small team, and drive execution through ambiguity. • Bring sound judgment, strong executive communication, and the ability to make clear decisions and constructive recommendations. • Lead collaboratively and low-ego, working effectively alongside Communications and across senior technical and commercial stakeholders. • Be based in London for this hybrid, full-time role.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience in autonomous vehicles, mobility, automotive technology, or another platform or ingredient-brand business. • Bring experience building a challenger brand against larger, better-funded competitors. • Bring experience marketing across B2B, partner, and consumer audiences internationally. • Bring experience developing marketing organisations, operating models, and teams during rapid growth. • Apply even if you do not meet every requirement, as Wayve encourages people passionate about self-driving cars to get in touch. • Let Wayve know if you need any accommodations or adjustments to take part fully in the interview process.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Define the marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive and OEM, and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programmes, and measurable outcomes. • Own product positioning and messaging, turning complex AI and autonomous-driving technology into differentiated, technically credible, commercially relevant narratives. • Build trust in the technology through evidence-led content, demonstrations, customer stories, and integrated campaigns. • Establish the brand strategy and apply it consistently across campaigns, digital channels, experiences, and partnerships. • Lead partner co-marketing with automakers, mobility platforms, and technology partners, creating shared narratives and launch plans without losing Wayve’s positioning. • Own the digital marketing strategy, website, and content engine, using data to improve reach, engagement, and conversion. • Set the strategy for conferences and experiential marketing so investment supports clear commercial objectives. • Build integrated plans with Communications while keeping ownership clear between marketing and corporate narrative, media relations, and reputation management. • Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team, setting clear priorities, ownership, and decision rights. • Create transparent operating plans, budgets, KPIs, and reporting that give leadership visibility into progress, risks, and results. • Work across Product, Commercial, Partnerships, Policy, Communications, and regional teams to deliver cohesive programmes.
