Solutions Architect

• Span both technical pre-sales and post-sales as a trusted adviser to enterprise customers throughout their lifecycle on Vercel. • Design target architectures for modern agentic workflows, AI, and web applications, including frontends, APIs, data and edge services, and integrations with headless and composable ecosystems. • Act as lead architect post-sale for strategic accounts, guiding onboarding, reference implementations, migration patterns, and best practices. • Available in the UK or Germany. If based within commuting distance of the London or Berlin office, the role includes in-office anchor days. Otherwise the role is fully remote.

• Have significant experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions architect, sales engineer, platform architect, or agency software engineer working with modern web or cloud platforms. • Bring strong hands-on skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks, ideally including Next.js, and be comfortable reviewing and discussing application code with engineering teams. • Understand web performance, caching, networking, and security fundamentals, ideally AI/LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows. • Be equally comfortable discussing business outcomes with executives and implementation details with developers. • Have a track record of owning complex technical projects, juggling multiple stakeholders, and delivering on time in fast-moving environments. • Thrive in collaborative field teams, enjoy mentoring others, and value clear, concise communication and documentation. • Be familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and how SaaS and edge platforms integrate into broader enterprise architectures. • Have empathy for developers and a passion for great developer experience.

• Have experience building AI-powered applications or agentic workloads, ideally leveraging tooling such as the AI SDK. • Have production experience deploying and operating Next.js or other modern frontend frameworks on Vercel or similar platforms. • Have worked with organisations standardising on composable architectures (headless CMS, commerce, search, analytics, and identity providers). • Hold cloud or architecture certifications or have led large-scale migrations to cloud-native platforms. • Be familiar with security and privacy standards such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or HIPAA and have participated in customer security reviews.

• Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery, qualify customer use cases, and shape solution strategy for key opportunities. • Design target architectures for modern agentic workflows, AI, and web applications on Vercel. • Create and deliver tailored demos, technical presentations, and workshops that articulate Vercel's value. • Own and run proofs of concept and pilots end-to-end: define success criteria, guide implementation, remove technical blockers, and document executive-level outcomes. • Act as lead architect post-sale for strategic accounts, guiding onboarding, reference implementations, migration patterns, and best practices. • Proactively engage with customers on performance, reliability, and cost optimisation using metrics like Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and observability data. • Collaborate with Field Engineering to standardise playbooks, reusable assets, and patterns that scale across customers and regions. • Respond to and coordinate security, compliance, and architecture reviews with internal specialists. • Capture recurring themes, patterns, and gaps from the field and feed them back into Product and Engineering roadmaps. • Contribute to internal enablement and external content including reference architectures, example repos, talks, and blog posts.
