Connectivity Director

• Join Tripadvisor, the travel group behind Tripadvisor, Viator and TheFork, in a UK remote role working on Viator. • Own the technical and commercial relationship between the platform and the reservation systems supplier partners rely on. • Set the connectivity strategy and build C-suite relationships with restech partners. • Lead the team behind the APIs, integration technologies and configuration that let millions of travellers book experiences. • Stay hands-on alongside engineers when a hard integration problem needs solving. • Report to the Senior Director, Destination Management, and visit the London or Oxford office occasionally.

• Bring 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, connectivity strategy or product engineering. • Show deep, hands-on knowledge of APIs and restech integration technologies. • Understand how connectivity platforms work end to end. • Demonstrate a proven track record of building and managing C-suite partnerships, including commercial negotiation. • Define and deliver technical roadmaps and API strategies for high-traffic platforms. • Bring deep knowledge of integration architecture, API design and observability. • Build, mentor and lead high-performing global technical teams. • Partner closely with Product as a true equal. • Lead inclusively and non-hierarchically in fast-moving environments. • Apply an analytical mindset and design reports that drive technical decisions. • Be based in the UK, ideally in or around London, and travel to offices occasionally.

• Bring experience in travel technology or B2B SaaS. • Show experience building a technical team from scratch or transforming an existing one. • Bring experience working on a customer-facing site or app alongside Product. • Show experience introducing AI-driven efficiencies to integration platforms.

• Define and own the connectivity strategy for supplier and restech integrations. • Build and maintain C-suite relationships with restech and supplier partners as Tripadvisor’s senior technical face. • Dig into API design, integration architecture and connectivity issues directly. • Lead, grow and mentor a global team of tech leads and engineers. • Shape the connectivity roadmap alongside Product. • Bring new technologies and approaches to the team and create space for technical creativity. • Own escalation and resolution of complex operational and connectivity issues at scale. • Oversee configuration, monitoring and testing of supplier integrations. • Drive continuous improvement of the tools and processes behind integrations. • Adapt quickly as remit, priorities or team structure evolve.
