• Become the founding member of Too Good To Go’s first dedicated Pricing team.
• Build the foundation for how the marketplace prices, starting with Key Account deals and extending across the business.
• Take on a concrete, high-value launchpad problem in Key Account pricing infrastructure, then shape the approach to dynamic pricing, consumer-facing service fees, and pricing strategy more broadly.
• Own two questions throughout: how to price so the most surplus food gets saved, and how to grow the pie for Too Good To Go, partners, and consumers rather than shifting value between them.
• Lay the pricing groundwork for expansion into non-food, non-perishable categories, with different cost structures, margins, and purchase patterns.
• Operate as an individual contributor with a small dedicated engineering team of around 3 to 4 developers to start, growing scope and headcount as impact is proven.
• Report directly to the VP of Product.
• Define a domain rather than execute a fixed brief, in a role suited to someone who does not need daily direction.
• Work hybrid from the London office.
📋 Job Requirements
• Bring multi-year experience in product management with direct, hands-on ownership of pricing.
• Show a track record building pricing algorithms, models, or infrastructure, shipping systems that price well and evolve over time rather than adjusting numbers in a spreadsheet.
• Work comfortably with quantitative teams across data science, analytics, and finance to translate pricing theory into production systems.
• Thrive working independently with a high degree of autonomy, especially in the early stages of building a new team.
• Bring a rigorous, quantitative mind, reasoning from first principles about supply, demand, and incentives and backing recommendations with data and clear models.
• Hold the interests of Too Good To Go, partners, and consumers in view at once and make the case for a solution that works for all three.
• Build genuine working relationships across product and the wider business.
• Communicate excellently, presenting to senior and executive audiences including the Global Management Team.
• Move fast without waiting for perfect information, staying decisive, transparent about your reasoning, and quick to adjust.
• Set the agenda within your mandate, manage up effectively, and make strong pricing calls with incomplete information.
• Submit your CV and cover letter in English through the Too Good To Go platform, as applications by email or LinkedIn are not accepted.
🌟 Nice-to-have
• Bring pricing experience in a marketplace or platform business, which is a genuine differentiator.
• Bring experience with take rates, dynamic pricing, two-sided pricing trade-offs, or fee structures in a marketplace.
• Bring experience running pricing experiments and elasticity analysis.
• Bring experience pricing non-food or non-perishable categories with different margin structures.
• Bring experience founding or scaling a new product team from scratch.
• Let Too Good To Go know if you need reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process.
🎯 Responsibilities
• Build the pricing infrastructure for Key Account deals, giving commercial teams the tools and flexibility to structure partnerships while keeping pricing logic sound and scalable.
• Design and develop a smart pricing algorithm, moving from static, rules-based pricing toward a dynamic model informed by supply, demand, and partner-specific economics.
• Investigate consumer-facing service fees, covering how they are set, how they perform, and how they should evolve to balance consumer value with business sustainability.
• Take a holistic view of pricing across Too Good To Go, partners, and consumers, optimising for meals saved and for growing the pie for all three.
• Research and apply best practices from marketplace pricing more broadly, adapting proven approaches rather than reinventing them.
• Own the roadmap and OKRs for the Pricing team, sequencing work so early Key Account wins build toward the algorithm and fee strategy.
• Work across product teams and with Commercial, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, and Key Accounts so pricing decisions are right wherever they show up.
• Be the go-to person for anything pricing-related, including presenting strategy, models, and results to the Global Management Team.
• Anticipate the pricing complexity of expansion into non-food, non-perishable categories and lay the groundwork for pricing them well.
• Use data rigorously through pricing experiments, elasticity analysis, and partner and consumer feedback to test hypotheses before scaling them.
