Senior Frontend Engineer, Marketing Website

• Join Synthesia’s Website team as a Senior Frontend Engineer, based in London. • Co-own the platform behind synthesia.io, visited by millions of people every month. • Build the component library, content model and rendering stack every marketing page is made from. • Make the site composable so marketers and AI agents can build pages without breaking design, performance or SEO. • Shape the technical direction of the website platform over the next 6 to 12 months. • Work in the London office or remotely in London, with remote options across Europe.

• Bring 5+ years as a software engineer, including 3 at senior level, building content-driven or marketing platforms. • Show real ownership of a Sanity content model, including GROQ and Portable Text. • Bring expert HTML, CSS and TypeScript skills with strong component API design. • Work end to end across SSR, serverless and edge runtimes, API routes, SQL, secrets and CI. • Understand responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and web performance. • Build to WCAG 2.2 AA as part of your definition of done. • Stay accountable to performance, SEO, analytics and conversion metrics. • Balance design intent against engineering constraints with a strong sense of craft. • Review code generously and help level up the people around you.

• Bring experience on a large, high-traffic SaaS marketing website. • Use Astro or another islands or static-site framework. • Bring experience with Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda or other edge and serverless platforms. • Work with Tailwind CSS v4 and token-based design systems. • Show interest in making component libraries and content models usable by AI agents. • Bring strong design sensibility and the judgement to improve design decisions. • Show experience with localisation and internationalisation at scale. • Implement analytics and tag management, including dataLayer events and server-side tagging.

• Build and evolve the section library of Astro components, Sanity schemas and design tokens. • Own the content model and design schemas that editors and agents can’t misuse. • Take Figma specs to production, responsive and accessible by default. • Extend the platform so coding agents can generate on-brand, on-spec sections. • Own SEO integrity, including canonicals, sitemaps, structured data and redirects. • Raise engineering standards through code review, reusable patterns and targeted tests. • Maintain localisation across nine locales and the translation pipeline. • Champion the platform with the people who publish on it.

• Work in the London office or remotely, with remote options elsewhere in Europe. • Co-own one of Synthesia’s main customer acquisition channels. • Shape the technical direction of a high-traffic marketing platform. • Go through a collaborative, practical hiring process with no Leetcode. • Join a well-funded company valued at $4 billion.
