Senior Fullstack Engineer

• Join Spotify’s Platform team as a Senior Fullstack Engineer, based in London or Stockholm. • Build Groove, the platform thousands of Spotify employees use to plan, coordinate and deliver work. • Deliver features such as initiative tracking, collaborative planning and dependency management. • Work across React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Google Kubernetes Engine. • Join a small, cross-functional team that moves quickly and learns from user feedback. • Enjoy flexible hybrid working, with some in-person meetings.

• Bring 5+ years of experience building scalable fullstack applications in production. • Work comfortably across frontend and backend and understand how they fit together. • Bring experience with APIs, distributed systems and modern web architecture. • Own your software from implementation through to production health. • Show experience designing systems and influencing technical direction. • Write clean, maintainable code that others can build on confidently. • Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and validate their output. • Communicate clearly through documentation and collaboration in distributed teams. • Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality and maintainability. • Take part in an on-call rotation.

• Bring hands-on experience with GraphQL and Java backends. • Show experience with Google Cloud and Kubernetes. • Bring experience building internal tools or planning and work-management products. • Show experience mentoring other engineers.

• Build and evolve Groove, Spotify’s platform for planning, collaboration and execution. • Design and deliver initiative tracking, planning workflows and dependency management features. • Build end-to-end solutions across the frontend, backend and infrastructure. • Work with product managers and designers to create intuitive experiences. • Keep systems reliable through testing, monitoring and continuous improvement. • Respond to production incidents as part of the on-call rotation. • Improve performance, scalability and maintainability across the stack. • Lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact features. • Help shape architecture across frontend, backend and infrastructure. • Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical bar.
