About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join Spotify’s Company Planning and Execution team as a Data Scientist, based in London or Stockholm. • Help a company with thousands of people and hundreds of products stay focused on what matters most. • Work at the intersection of data, strategy and operations. • Turn operational and strategic information into clear stories, recommendations and decision frameworks. • Explore how AI and automation can change the way people access insights. • Work 2–3 days a week in the office, with flexibility the rest of the time.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 5+ years of experience with a quantitative background in science, economics, engineering or a related field. • Feel curious about how organisations work, including the decisions and systems behind the data. • Turn messy, complex datasets into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences. • Work comfortably with multiple stakeholders across levels and functions. • Write SQL and Python proficiently. • Work comfortably in BigQuery. • Bring experience with tools such as dbt, Tableau or Looker.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring experience with operational or work management data. • Show experience applying machine learning to organisational or business data. • Bring experience building AI or automation tools for self-serve insights. • Show experience writing executive-facing reports or briefings.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Form hypotheses about how Spotify plans and delivers, and share insights with varied audiences. • Apply statistical models and machine learning to spot trends and improve how Spotify works. • Build and maintain data models, pipelines and dashboards on planning and execution. • Write the narratives and recommendations in the semi-annual Planning and Execution Insight reports. • Deliver recurring briefings that explain the why and so what behind the data. • Explore AI and automation to make insights faster to produce and easier to access.
