Senior / Staff Engineer

• Build the intelligence layer for critical infrastructure as a hands-on Senior or Staff Engineer working across large-scale geospatial data, AI-powered intelligence, and real-world infrastructure problems. • Tackle the next set of technical challenges including agentic workflows, knowledge graphs, large-scale data ingestion, and new ways to stream, model, and analyse complex geospatial data. • Join a company that more than doubled ARR in 2025 with US expansion underway and Series C on the horizon.

• Bring deep experience across backend engineering, data architecture, or distributed systems. • Hold strong knowledge of large-scale ingestion pipelines, data modelling, storage formats, retrieval systems, semantic data design, or knowledge graphs. • Take large, messy, high-volume datasets and design structures that make them usable, queryable, and fast rather than simply storable. • Have practical experience using agentic systems and AI tooling in production such as vector embeddings, orchestration frameworks, MCP, or similar protocols. • Show strong judgment around when to build internally and when to integrate existing technology. • Have experience working in a startup or scale-up where you need to move quickly and make decisions without a complete map. • Hold strong technical opinions you can clearly explain while remaining open to changing your mind.

• Show an interest in geospatial technology, spatial computing, or GeoAI. • Bring exposure to large-scale rendering or 3D geospatial data formats. • Hold some frontend knowledge, ideally Angular or a similar framework. • Have side projects, open-source contributions, or research-led experimentation. • Bring experience within infrastructure, construction, or engineering software.

• Own and evolve key architectural decisions across services, data flows, and the platform. • Design the foundations for ingesting, modelling, storing, querying, and serving large-scale geospatial data. • Develop mezzanine formats and data models that support increasingly complex streaming, analysis, and product workflows. • Shape the knowledge and intelligence layer using knowledge graphs, vector embeddings, agentic frameworks, orchestration, and MCP-style protocols. • Build hands-on across the backend and data stack including Golang, Python, Postgres, DuckDB, LanceDB, AWS, and GCP. • Challenge technical decisions that won't hold up under future scale and complexity, helping the stack evolve. • Raise engineering standards across system design, code review, testing, and documentation through doing as much as advising. • Help the team use AI-assisted development tools effectively without compromising quality, security, or engineering judgment. • Work closely with Product, the Engineering Lead, and the wider team to keep technical direction aligned with customer outcomes.
