Software Engineering Manager, Content Agent

• Join Sanity as Software Engineering Manager for Content Agent, where AI meets structured content. • Lead a team of 4 engineers, with room to grow as the product scales. • Build an assistant that understands each customer’s content model and can audit thousands of documents in seconds. • Balance LLM integration and agentic workflows with building AI that content teams actually trust. • Own the team’s strategy, roadmap and execution alongside the product manager and designer. • Work from the London office 2–3 days a week.

• Bring 1+ years of engineering management experience. • Show 4+ years of engineering experience, ideally in developer tools or content platforms. • Bring experience at a product or SaaS company. • Bring a strong technical background in TypeScript, JavaScript and modern web technologies. • Know prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks and techniques for improving model reliability. • Understand embedding models, vector search and grounding AI outputs in structured data. • Tell apart AI features that solve real problems from those that only demo well. • Show a track record of shipping user-facing products at scale. • Navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to product direction. • Work from the London office 2–3 days a week.

• Bring experience leading teams building complex, extensible applications. • Show experience with Sanity or other headless CMS platforms. • Bring experience building agentic workflows in production. • Show experience building developer tools for non-technical users.

• Help engineers organise and prioritise their work for the highest impact. • Balance technical excellence with shipping velocity. • Champion developer experience while building for non-technical content creators. • Own team strategy, roadmap and execution with product and design. • Establish scalable processes with the Head of Engineering and product and design leaders. • Support the growth and development of every team member. • Influence the direction of Sanity, modern web development and content operations.
