• Be the face of Sanity in developer communities, online and in person.
• Own the programmes that give developers a reason to build with Sanity, manage the relationships that make those programmes work, and ship content that earns credibility in the communities that matter.
• Treat trust as your primary output rather than volume, since this is not a content-factory role.
• Work remotely from the United States or United Kingdom, with 20-30% travel for conferences, meetups, and community events.
📋 Job Requirements
• Have 3+ years in developer relations or developer community at a developer tools company, or 2+ years in an AI engineering role.
• Build things: write code, ship demos, and speak credibly with developers about what they are actually building.
• Use AI coding tools actively and talk about AI-assisted development in a way that doesn't sound like a press release.
• Understand web development and speak to the current state of web dev tools and how AI is transforming them.
• Understand community dynamics, knowing the difference between a healthy community and a performative one, and having built or grown the former.
• Speak publicly with confidence, on stage, in workshops, and in hallway conversations at conferences.
• Stay organised enough to run multiple programmes at once without dropping balls, and people-oriented enough to make contributors feel recognised and valued.
• Hold opinions about which communities and events actually matter and which do not.
• Be willing to travel 20-30% of the time.
🌟 Nice-to-have
• Have video production skills and a portfolio of educational content you've created, covering editing, scripting, and visual storytelling.
• Have grown or scaled a YouTube channel.
• Have taught both technical audiences and non-technical ones such as content operators, editors, and marketers.
• Understand the shift from traditional to AI-assisted development, with hands-on experience building using AI coding tools.
• Have facilitated workshops beyond conference speaking, running hands-on training and refining material from live feedback.
• Have a background with headless CMS, content platforms, or content operations tools.
• Show a track record of improving activation metrics or time-to-value through education programmes.
🎯 Responsibilities
• Ship developer content including blog posts, use cases, demos, and videos for builders who use AI.
• Build AI-first workflows for the Developer Community team, including Skills and plug-ins that help the team work 10x faster.
• Maintain Sanity's presence in developer communities online and offline across Discord, X, GitHub, Reddit, conferences, meetups, and wherever the audience lives.
• Own the programmes and relationships that give developers a reason to build with Sanity.

💖 What makes Sanity unique
Sanity builds an AI-powered content operating system that lets teams model, create, and automate content the way their business actually runs, replacing rigid legacy content management systems. It treats content as data so it can live in a single source of truth while adapting to any channel, and companies including SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, Nordstrom, and Morning Brew run their content operations on it. The 200+ person company recently raised an $85 million Series C led by GP Bullhound, with backing from ICONIQ Growth, Threshold Ventures, Heavybit, and Shopify.
